Hello and welcome to my home page. My name is Chris Belsten I work as a licensed tour guide in the UK and worldwide as well as working with river and ocean cruise operators organising on-shore excursions.

I have over 20 years experience leading and guiding groups around the world on educational, cultural and historical tours.

I hold the Blue Badge Tourist Guide qualification accredited by the Institute the UK’s highest level of tourist guiding qualification and have public liability insurance. I am also an accredited guide for Windsor Castle and Eton.

Although I’ve spent many years guiding and tour managing across the world, my first love is for Dorset, exploring it’s rural charm on foot or on bike (I am a keen cyclist and walker) so have a great passion in showing visitors the outstanding landscapes including the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast with its famous fossils & geology, breathtaking views and gentle walks through quaint villages, charming thatched-roofed pubs and hidden coves where smugglers used bring in their contraband.

It is with the greatest pleasure that I invite you to take a tour of this very special region of England and especially my home county of Dorset – the land and it’s people, steeped in a rich and ancient history immortalised by the great writer Thomas Hardy, who was born just outside the county town of Dorchester.

Come on a journey with me to the romantic and unique Corfe Castle nestled in the Purbeck Hills or make a pilgrimage to that most english of Cathedrals in Salisbury or visit the special landscape of Stonehenge and Avebury
