Tours

It is with the greatest pleasure that I invite you to take a tour in this very special region of England and especially my home county of Dorset – the land and it’s people, steeped in a rich and ancient history immortalised by the great writer Thomas Hardy, who was born just outside the county town of Dorchester.

I was born and bred in Dorset and for many years have explored it’s rural charm on foot and on bike – so have a great passion in showing visitors the outstanding landscapes including the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast with its famous fossils & geology, breathtaking views and gentle walks through quaint villages, charming thatched-roofed pubs and hidden coves where smugglers used bring in their contraband.

Come on a journey with me to the romantic and unique Corfe Castle nestled in the Purbeck Hills or make a pilgrimage to that most english of Cathedrals in Salisbury with the tallest medieval spire in Europe which possesses one of the four remaining copies of the original ‘Magna Carta’; a document that established our legal system. From there it’s just a short distance to one of the most impressive neolithic sites in the world – Stonehenge as well as the whole UNESCO designated landscape.

Bespoke and tailor-made tours: Dorset and the South West has a great deal to offer – if you would like your own tour we can arrange to suit your needs and preferences.

Dorchester – the county town is easily accessible by both road and rail from London. I can also arrange pick up from Southampton or other ports (such as Portland).

See the drop down list for a selection of tours.
