Enjoy a scenic drive through the verdant valleys, over the rolling hills, patchwork fields, across the heaths and into a world ‘half-real, half-imagined’, a landscape immortalised by the great 19th century novelist Thomas Hardy to arrive at Bovington Military Camp and tank museum.

The Tank Museum tells the story of tanks and the men who served in them, through powerful exhibitions, over 300 vehicles and 100 years of armoured warfare.

As well as being Dorset’s largest indoor attraction, The Tank Museum holds the broadest and most historically significant collection of tanks in the world, including the first working prototype tank and the world’s only running Tiger I.
